Scenarios for Every Brand, Ingredients for Every Plan
Two upgrades: Scenarios now works for depletion brands, and Supply Planning translates your finished goods plan into the components behind it.
Scenarios for Every Brand, Ingredients for Every Plan

Here's the short version: Scenarios now supports depletion planning groups, so brands that plan on depletion data can model their year the same way consumption brands do, with new ramp up and redemption rate controls in the builder. And Supply Planning now plans components, not just finished goods, so your production plan tells you what to procure and when.

This newsletter covers the highlights, not everything we ship. Under the hood, product updates land every week: new features, fixes, and the small workflow improvements that never make it into an edition like this one.
Now there's one place to see all of it. We've built a dedicated Changelog page -every front-end feature, with visuals and context, as soon as it goes live.
📊 Scenarios Now Cover Depletion Brands
New in Scenarios: Scenarios is where you test a plan before you commit to it. Take your current forecast, layer on a hypothetical, a new promo, a distribution win, a spend cut, and see what it does to revenue and trade before it touches the real plan.
Until now that only worked for planning groups on consumption data. Brands that plan on depletions, what ships out of the distributor's warehouse, had no way to model scenarios at all. That gap is closed. Depletion planning groups are now fully supported.

Two more additions make the modeling more honest. Ramp up: when you model a new distribution win, volume now builds toward full velocity over time instead of landing at 100 percent on day one, the way real launches behave. Redemption rate: coupon promotions in a scenario now carry the redemption assumption you set on the promotion itself, instead of assuming every coupon gets used.
The payoff stays as is: the sandbox now behaves like the real plan, so the number you pressure test is the number you commit.
🏭 Supply Planning Now Plans Components
New in the Supply Planning workspace: Your finished goods plan now drives component and ingredient planning. Each product's bill of materials translates planned production into effective demand for everything underneath it, down through multi-level BOMs, and a components tab shows inventory and demand for each part.

Lead times are maintained per part, so the system rolls up total lead time from the finished good and projects ingredient orders forward in time. Safety stock is configurable per item by target days of supply, fixed reorder point, or target service level.
The payoff: The gap between "here is what we plan to make" and "here is what we need to buy" closes. Instead of translating a production plan into a purchasing spreadsheet by hand, the ingredient and packaging needs fall out of the plan automatically, timed to when each part actually needs to be ordered.
💬 Q&A with Confido's CEO, Justin
"Once Confido recommends what to produce, how does it know what ingredients I need to buy and when?"
Every product carries its bill of materials in Confido, so the finished goods plan generates demand for each component underneath it, through multi-level BOMs. A two-pack that contains bars creates demand for bars, which creates demand for the ingredients in the bars.
Timing comes from lead times maintained on each part. Confido rolls up the total lead time from the finished good and projects each order forward, so an ingredient with a long lead time gets flagged to order well before the production run that needs it. Safety stock is set per item, by target days of supply, a fixed reorder point, or a target service level, so the recommendation already reflects the buffer you want to hold.
