New on the Shelf: Product Lifecycle, OI Spend Apportioning, and Deductions Comments
Fresh from Confido: a smarter way to manage product stages across your portfolio, better visibility into direct customer spend, and quick access to context right inside your deductions table.

🧬 Product Lifecycle: From Innovation to Phase-Out

For those who missed our early look at Product Lifecycle in Confido, you can watch the webinar replay here.
Product Lifecycle introduces structured statuses for every SKU so teams can track where each product sits in its journey — from launch to sunset — and make planning cleaner and more accurate.
Here’s what it helps you do:
See the full picture with six lifecycle stages (Pending Launch, Active, Seasonal/LTO, Transition, Phase-Out, and Inactive).
Keep forecasts and promos focused — when a product is marked Phase-Out or Inactive, it automatically stops showing in forecasts and new promo planning.
Reduce clutter by hiding old SKUs while keeping historical performance data accessible.
Use the Discontinue button in Forecasts to trigger the same lifecycle updates directly.
The result: more accurate planning, cleaner product lists, and less noise when building promotions and forecasts.
💸 Smarter OI Spend Apportioning for Direct Customers

Managing trade across direct retailers like Costco just got simpler. For accounts with multiple Planning Groups (e.g., Costco LA, Costco MW), Confido now automatically apportions OI spend to the correct PG.
Here’s how it works:
If OI spend is tied to a promotion, it’s allocated to that promo’s Planning Group.
If it’s a direct customer without a promo, it’s shared proportionally across relevant Planning Groups and counted as retailer spend.
If neither applies, it’s assigned as distributor spend.
This means cleaner reporting, more accurate PG-level visibility, and a truer reflection of how your spend supports each customer.
