New on the Shelf: Forecast Versioning, Confido On The Road, and an Engineering Spotlight
Fresh from Confido: This week we're making it easier to keep your forecasts organized, catch up with us on the road, and learn more about one of the engineers behind Demand Planning!

πΈ Demand Planning Forecast Version Management
Forecasting is never a straight line β and your tools should reflect that.
Confido now supports full version management for your demand planning forecasts. Create and manage multiple forecast versions directly in the UI, with automatic snapshots taken along the way. If a forecast goes sideways or you need to revisit a prior view, you can restore to any previous snapshot in just a few clicks.
Forecasts change β that's the point. Version management gives your team a full, auditable history of every forecast so you always know where you've been and why. Restore a prior snapshot in a few clicks, compare across versions, and course-correct without ever starting from scratch.

Confido On The Road βοΈ
It's been a busy season for the Confido team. Over the past month, we attended POI Chicago, WAFC, and Gartner Supply Chain Symposium β and we're just getting started. Coming up, we'll be at POI Amsterdam, SAP Sapphire, Sweets & Snacks, and Summer Fancy Foods.
If you're heading to any of these, we'd love to connect.
For those attending Sweets & Snacks, Confido is hosting a casual Happy Hour alongside Basemaker on Tuesday, May 19th from 5:30 β 9:00 PM. Come find us at the Rooftop Terrace of the SpringHill Suites by Marriott β less than a 10-minute walk from the West Wing of the convention center.
Bring your whole team. Talk shop, meet new faces, and reconnect with familiar ones over complimentary drinks, light bites, and a sunset to close out the evening.
Going to other CPG events this summer? Hit reply and let us know where you're headed β we'd love to see you out there.
Confido Engineer Spotlight: Chinh Nguyen π·ββοΈ

This week we're spotlighting Chinh Nguyen, a Software Engineer on Confido's Demand Planning team. Chinh has been heads-down building out customer inventory informed ordering β the infrastructure that helps CPG brands project retailer inventory, calculate weeks on hand, and generate smarter order recommendations so shelves stay full and nothing goes to waste.
Where are you from, and what drew you to Confido? I'm originally from Vietnam. What drew me here was Justin and Kara's vision β this isn't a startup chasing trends. Confido was built to solve a real problem they experienced firsthand in CPG. And personally, within my first few months I've been trusted with real responsibility and shipped work that actually moves the needle.
What did you work on before joining Confido? I went to Colby College and spent a summer at HubSpot working on databases, data pipelines, and backend systems. Confido is my first full-time role out of undergrad.
You've been building customer inventory informed ordering β what does that actually do? It's a three-layer feature. First, we project future retailer inventory by combining what a customer has on hand today with their consumption data and shipment forecast β down to the SKU and retailer level. Second, we calculate weeks on hand: given projected inventory and forecasted consumption, we tell you exactly when stock will run out. Third, when inventory is set to dip below a target threshold, we surface an alert and the exact order quantity needed to get back to healthy levels β right in the demand planning workspace.
For CPG brands, this prevents spoilage, keeps shelves stocked, and gives brands clarity on which customers actually need a shipment and which don't.
What's surprised you about working at Confido? It's not a typical engineering job. Nobody hands you a detailed spec β I'm constantly making judgment calls, balancing timelines, complexity, and customer needs in real time. A lot of freedom, but also real decisions every day. That's been the biggest adjustment, and the most rewarding part.
What do you do outside of work? Soccer β I play and watch. Huge Real Madrid fan. I also play pickleball, hit the gym, and go-kart at a track in New Jersey.
